She performed the song "Goodbye Blue Sky" and was also one of the performers on the concert's final song "The Tide Is Turning" along with Waters, Cyndi Lauper, Bryan Adams, Van Morrison and Paul Carrack. Throughout the first half of 1990, Mitchell recorded songs that appeared on her next album. The following month, Reprise released her third album, Ladies of the Canyon. Mitchell herself ended the evening with a rendition of "Both Sides, Now" with a 70-piece orchestra. She was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1981 and received the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement, Canada's highest honour in the performing arts, in 1996.
