Sommers of Burlington; three children, Coy (Linny) Miller of Dallas City, IL, John Sommers, Jr. of Burlington, Jamie (Kerri) Sommers of Burlington; six grandchildren, Sara (Logan) Ealey, Seth (Emma) Miller, Kaslyn (Alex) Breuer, Austinn (Jennae) Schaefer, Karli Schaefer, Caleb (Donata) Reynolds, six great-grandchildren, Lelan and Ridge Ealey, Natalie Parcel, Paisley and Cole Breuer, Asher Schaefer; and John's sister, Janice Peterschimdt of Fort Madison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin daughters, Tamela and Pamela, four brothers and two sisters.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established for the Burlington Bee's.
